On Tuesday 12 September, the APPG on Human Relevant Science heard from Professor Guruprasad Aithal, who gave expert evidence on drug-induced liver injury. Providing a clinical perspective based on his experience as Nottingham University’s ‘Nottingham Digestive Diseases Centre’ lead, Professor Aithal championed the benefits of using human-specific research to better protect patients such as his from DILI.
